The Providence Animal Control Facility was a design-build competition sponsored by the Narragansett Bay Commission in order to replace an existing Providence facility that had neared its useful lifespan.
The building featured a two story entrance way which lead directly into the administrative offices and the circulation spine for the entire facility. The exterior featured low maintenance materials of masonry and corrugated industrial aluminum siding and standing seam aluminum roofing. The fifty kennels, featured a covered exterior area. The site completely separated the facility circulation from the general public and visitors.
