Phillips
Wire Company is a mill complex consisting of fifteen interconnected
buildings. The master plan calls for the creation of a industrially
inspired streetscape in order to unify and set the tone for the
new creative village.
The first phase of the project includes the renovation of eight
of the buildings into commercial and residential work live lofts.
Several buildings have already been renovated to house such diverse
uses as the architect’s office, a women’s gym, a baseball
training school, handicapped artist school and a commercial restaurant
design and equipment company.
The property has been deemed a national historic landmark based
on the architect’s and historical consultant's efforts and
enjoys the benefits of state and federal tax credits. |
