The new Four Points Sheraton Hotel promises to offer a distinctive hospitality experience to Providence’s growing niche of corporate professionals. Architectura’s design solution offers a seamless fusion between the rich industrial architecture of the mill’s historic façade and the chic contemporary flair of the new six-story hotel. Within the constraints of an irregular-shaped site, project challenges include: adaptive-reuse of the former ice cream factory into the lobby, public function spaces, and restaurant; integration of a multi-level parking garage; and pedestrian circulation to the waterfront promenade. |
